In Between takes on a daring and controversial subject (even more so in the current electoral climate in Belgium): is a multicultural society something desirable – or even feasible?
In Between is a portrait of multiculturalism in Flanders – possibly even in Europe. In doing so, it also gives us a look at the ‘clash of civilizations’ the whole world seems to be grappling with today. Epicity Pictures uses a series of interviews to uncover questions about this issue. All sides of the issue are covered, the most moderate of which are Dirk Tieleman (Flemish television journalist and author) and the rap/hip-hop artist from the inner city in Ghent, Fatih.
The movie’s soundtrack is from Fatih’s album ‘Contradictio In Terminis.’
